The San Roque hospital continues with the national vaccination schedule for children –

A few days before the start of school, the San Roque maternal and child hospital in the city of Paraná is applying the dose against Covid-19, as well as the regulatory vaccines required by educational institutions. In that framework, Elonce spoke with the nurse Estela Larrosa.

“We start with the school period and parents start to rush when they haven’t been vaccinated. Before there were three vaccines and now there are four because a second dose of Varicella was added ”, she expressed.

About the chickenpox vaccine, he remarked that “there are schools that ask for it and others that don’t, but it is for school admission.”

Regarding the symptoms that the child may have post-vaccination, he said: “There are two vaccines that give fever after seven or ten days and the other two can be given right away. They are painful and the indications that we carry out is the cold water handkerchief in the area where the dose was placed and the antipyretic”.

Likewise, he referred to the vaccine against Covid-19: “From six months to 2 years, the Modern dose is applied and for children from 3 to 11 years old, the Sinopharm.”

In addition, regarding the third reinforcement, he mentioned that “most have two and a third dose would be missing. There are also 2 or 3-year-old boys who have just been vaccinated because they are required to travel.”

In this sense, he added that the yellow fever vaccines are given “on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.,” and clarified that “they apply it for trips to endemic areas, but it is not mandatory.”

Finally, he told about the vaccination schedule: “From 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,” and stressed that “per day we place approximately 128 doses.” (Elonce)
