The San Francisco 49ers in the NFL… will have ‘royal blood’!

Last Tuesday, Monterrey offensive lineman Isaac Alarcón was released by the San Francisco 49ers… but yesterday, Wednesday, the Bay Area team signed him to the practice squad.

At 26 years of age, Sultana del Norte player Isaac Alarcón was included in the San Francisco 49ers practice squad, after being cut from the 53-player roster.

San Francisco offensive linemen Ben Bartch, Brandon Parker and Chris Hubbard were also released from the team.

The Mexican participated in the preseason and played as right tackle. Through social media, the 49ers shared the list of the practice squad.

Previously, the Mexican was on the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad for three seasons and last January he signed a reserve contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

Players such as Evan Anderson, Alex Barret, Jonathan Garvin, Sebastian Gutierrez, Chase Lucas, Jaylen Mahoney, Tay Martin, Tanner Mordecai, among others, will accompany Alarcón on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.

The rest of the players who will be on San Francisco’s practice squad are: Evan Anderson, Alex Barret, Jonathan Garvin, Sebastian Gutierrez, Chase Lucas, Jaylen Mahoney, Tay Martin, TY McGill Jr., Tanner Mordecai, Drake Nugent, Mason Pline, Trent Taylor, Tracy Walker III and Brayden Willis.

Isaac Alarcón played for the 49ers during the preseason, primarily as a right tackle, and it was only yesterday that San Francisco announced the moves to its roster, designating offensive linemen Ben Bartch, Brandon Parker and Chris Hubbard as waivers; while Alarcón and fellow offensive linemen Sebastián Gutiérrez, Jarrett Kingston and Drake Nugent were all sent to waivers.

Last January, Isaac Alarcón signed a reserve/future contract with the 49ers, securing a spot on the 90-player roster that began the team’s offseason program and remained there through the preseason.

Before arriving in San Francisco, Isaac Alarcón spent three seasons on the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys, who last year, no longer receiving the international player tag provided by the NFL International Pathways program, let him go at the end of his fourth preseason. In his first three seasons, since arriving from the Borregos of Tec de Monterrey, Isaac Alarcón was an offensive lineman; first a tackle and then a guard. In his last year he was changed to defensive tackle at the request of then-Cowboys coordinator Dan Quinn.
