It is the emblematic historical monument of Acapulco, for its star design, classic of the Marquis of Vauban, military architect of Louis XIV, model of the Spanish forts. since the enthronement of the Bourbons after the War of the Spanish Succession (1701-1715)

It has collections, both archaeological (from the Mezcala and Guerrero cultures, masks from the 18th century, a Chinese porcelain jar also from the 18th century, as well as silks and embroidery, an ancient silk kimono and Chinese coins from distant dynasties.
Collections of Chinese porcelain from different periods also play an important role, Mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries, some belonging to the Qing dynasty.
