Samsung will be bringing the first Ultra model to its tablet lineup through the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series.
Samsung It’s rumored to be bringing the first Ultra model to the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. It will also include the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8 Plus as reported by WinFuture through The Verge(18/1).
According to reports WinFuture, the Ultra model which is the highest-spec model will feature a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels. Screen will be supported refresh rate 120Hz. At the top will be placed notch which contains two 12MP front cameras.
In comparison, the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus’ Super AMOLED screen is slightly smaller than the Ultra model. Tablet it is likely to carry a 12.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels. WinFuture says this mid-range model will not have notch.
Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy Tab S8 will be the smallest in the lineup. The Tab S8 is rumored to have an 11-inch TFT LTPS screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600px, designed without the notch, and 8000mAh battery capacity. In comparison, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is equipped with a capacity of 11,200 mAh, while the Tab S8 Plus is 10,090 mAh.
The Ultra model is expected to have 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, while the other two models carry a smaller configuration, namely 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
WinFuture notes every tablet may come with chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and GPU Adreno 730. All models will also have 13MP dual camera and lens ultra wide-angle 6MP on the back, S-Pen compatibility, under-display fingerprint scanner, optional 5G connectivity, and quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos.
There is no pricing information yet, but a leak from Appuals claims the price for the Wi-Fi-only version of the Ultra model starts at $1,187 to $1,210 (Rp16.9 million-Rp17.3 million). With the additional storage and 5G connectivity, the price might be higher than that. The Wi-Fi-only Tab S8 Plus is likely to be priced from $1,004 to $1,027, while the basic Tab S8 could potentially start from $776 to $799 (Rp11.1 million-Rp11.4 million).
WinFuture predicts that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup at the Samsung Unpacked event on February 8 or at the Mobile World Conference (MWC), which starts on February 28. Samsung last released the Galaxy Tab S7 line in 2020, which consisted of only two tablets, the Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus.
