It is known that the wireless charger for the Galaxy S23 series, developed by Samsung Electronics, will support SmartThings technology.

According to foreign media, a Samsung device with model number EP-P9500 passed the Bluetooth certification on 28th. In the certification document, you can see the product name “SmartThings Station”.

Notably, “SmartThings Station” was also found in United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) documents. Samsung Electronics will release a product with the model number “EP-P” as a wireless charger. Under various circumstances, it is very likely that “EP-P9500” is Samsung’s first wireless charger that supports SmartThings.

Unfortunately, the details are not available in the Bluetooth and USPTO documentation, but this wireless charger is expected to include smart features never seen before in Samsung’s wireless chargers.

In this regard, the recently released official OneUI 5.0 version from Samsung has added various SmartThings functions to the mode and routine functions. Samsung’s new wireless charger is expected to launch in time for the launch of the Galaxy S23 series early next year.
