Samsung’s next Unpacked event unveiling the Galaxy S23 could be held in early February 2023. The South Korean company will showcase its next flagship with its new features, including a possible satellite connection.
The release of the Samsung Galaxy S23 is fast approaching. The next flagship of the South Korean company could be presented at the beginning of 2023 and more precisely in February. In fact, Korea JoongAng Daily reports that Samsung plans to hold its Unpacked event during the first week of February.
Unpacked is the Samsung event where the new flagship is announced. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a Galaxy S23 unveiling in early February. The new Korean report therefore confirms this release window. We do not have no more precise date for the moment.
The unveiling of the Galaxy S23 would be Samsung’s first physical event since the pandemic
The Korea JoongAng Daily also expects the Galaxy S23 presentation to be a physical event. It would be organised in San Francisco, Calif. It would therefore be the first time that Samsung has organized a live event since the beginning of the pandemic. All events have been virtual for almost three years.
Samsung has not yet confirmed the Galaxy S23 Unpacked event, but the flagship has already started leaking on networks. Several renders have been shared that reveal its design. There are no major differences compared to the Galaxy S22, but that’s to be expected the huge photographic block disappears to make way for floating sensors. One of them should be a 200 megapixel sensor that has already been tested. On Chinese social network Weibo, one user even tested the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s camera against the S22 Ultra and Pixel 7 Pro.
Under the chassis, the Galaxy S23 will accommodate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which will support Wi-Fi 7. The new standard will offer even faster data transfers of up to 40 Gb/s. Also, the Galaxy S23 would have satellite communication like the iPhone. This feature is already available on Apple and Huawei devices, but this is the first time it’s coming to a Samsung flagship. The South Korean company works with Iridium communications for Galaxy S23 satellite connection.
