February is a fantastic (or horrible, depending on how you look at it) month to launch mobile, as there are a ton of releases packed into this time of year.
On February 9 we saw the first score, as Samsung presented its new smartphones (Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra) and three new tablets (Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra).
After Samsung, some fans can already go into hibernation until the Xiaomi 12 and OnePlus 10 arrive between March and April, but there are still a few that need to be paid close attention to.
We’ve covered all of this month’s big mobile releases below so you can jot them all down on your calendar. Keep in mind that the ones we mention here are the official ones, so there could be more without notice.
Realme 9 Pro – February 16

Realme has confirmed that its next mid-range series number will arrive on February 16. We expect a Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+, and we think the standard will come later.
Some details of the smartphone have already been revealed, such as a 50MP main camera from Sony, the color change of its back and a heart rate sensor in the Pro +. The one we don’t know as much about is the Pro.
Since there hasn’t been a Realme Pro+ before, we don’t know exactly what to expect, especially price-wise, so we’re really looking forward to finding out all about it at the event.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G – February 17

We know that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, the successor to the 2021 Nord CE 5G, will arrive on February 17. It is expected to be a very cheap Android mid-range that will expand the great OnePlus Nord family.
The phone will have 65W charging, a headphone jack and a microSD slot, and from the name we also deduce that it will have 5G.
The leaks go a bit further, and put it between mid-range and low-end, but we’ll have to wait until next week to know for sure.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 – February 17

In addition to OnePlus, the same day 17 will also be the presentation in Spain of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, which was already presented globally on January 26, 2022 (after it was launched in China at the end of 2021).
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 range currently has four models, which are: the standard Note 11, the Note 11S, the Note 11 Pro 5G and the Note 11 Pro (4G, without 5G).
The four models are very similar to each other, and you can read everything that is known about them in our special article about the launch, but we anticipate that the mid-range is going to have a lot of competition this week.
New Motorola Edge – February 24

There is a new Motorola Edge planned for February 24, as confirmed by the brand, but we do not know exactly which one. We believe that it will be the global version of the Edge X30 that was already presented in China .
The cover image is all that is known about the launch, which at least confirms the date and that it is an Edge (as can be seen in the hashtag), but the rest is pure speculation prior to the launch of the smartphone.
If it’s the new Edge series, we’re expecting three or four low-end to mid-high-end Android devices, as other manufacturers tend to do. Motorola, yes, usually lags behind in terms of features and specifications.
There are many more unsolved unknowns than there are with Realme, OnePlus or Xiaomi, so we will be attentive to see what Motorola brings us.
MWC 2022 – from February 28
The big smartphone event is just around the corner, as the Mobile World Congress (better known as MWC 2022) will take place between February 28 and March 3.
In previous years, MWC has been the perfect place to announce new devices, but we’re not sure what this year will look like, as the 2020 one was canceled and last year’s one was moved to summer and it was somewhat watered down.
Of course, many companies plan to attend: Honor, Xiaomi, Huawei, Realme, Samsung… it’s going to be a busy few days.
