A few months ago, we informed you that Samsung is working on its own own 200MPx ISOCELL sensor, which should be the first to appear in Xiaomi Mi 12 series phones. Surprisingly, however, it will not appear in the upcoming Galaxy S22 flags. Instead, we get a 50MPx RGBW sensor.
Leaker Ice Universe claims that the introduction of both sensors should take place in September this year. The standard RGB chip consists of several sensors that detect red, blue and green light and then connect everything together, but the RGBW sensor works a little differently. It is a white LED diode, which should ensure better color rendering, for example in some more contrasting images, and at the same time it should also be able to absorb more light.

This is nothing new. Huawei already in 2015, he introduced the Huawei P8 phone, in which we could see the RGBW sensor. At that time, however, it was a 13MPx sensor and he still took great photos.
What sensor do you have in your phone?
