The creators of the show wanted this show to be like an invisible circle of light and the flow of a clear river of love. “It started with music for me,” Kaspars Putniņš explains. “Italian folk music will play a rather important role here. This music was played very often at that time, so Dante must have heard it. To expand this knowledge with readings from the divine comedies, in fact, I couldn’t think of anyone else but Juri Strenga. When he starts reading passages, I could sit for a week and listen. It’s so exciting.”

Putniņš has chosen Gērģa Ligeti, written for a choir of sixteen Helderlin’s Three Fantasies, Santa Ratniece’s compositions for choir and harp Morning Night, where the paradise described by Dante will be published, as well as other works by modern authors. On the other hand, medieval Italian folk music gives the message a joyous and danceable vibe.
