EFE.- El Salvador’s absolute soccer league will begin this weekend only with the presence of fans with the complete vaccination scheme against covid-19.
The Apertura tournament will finally kick off on Saturday, July 31, after its start was temporarily postponed as a result of the Legislative Assembly’s decision to ban mass gatherings, such as sporting events.
However, the Legislative body authorized the Ministry of Health to allow the holding of events with biosecurity measures.
For its part, the Health portfolio announced that sporting events will be allowed only with the presence of fans who have completed the two doses of vaccines against covid-19.
In the country, five different formulas are applied against the coronavirus, which need two doses to reach their maximum effectiveness.

According to statements collected by the local press from the manager of the first division, Óskar Cruz, agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) will verify that fans present their vaccination card.
Another novelty of this tournament is that a one-against-all phase will return to its old format, from which the first eight advance to the quarterfinals to later define, in a two-game series, the semifinalists and finalists.
The final will be a single match on December 19, without the changes to the dates due to the participation of the senior team in the octagonal heading to Qatar 2021 altering the date.
The tournament will start with the games between Chalatenango and Benjamin Plantense and Metapán against Atlético Marte.
On Sunday Luis Ángel Firpo will face off against Jocoro, Deportivo 11 against Águila and Alianza against Municipal Limeño.
