It was launched by Salvatore The Cata doctor from Salerno who, in his own small way, decided to take action following yet another attack on healthcare workers, which occurred at the Foggia hospital where a man was arrested after beating up three nurses. And the proposal from the specialist from Salerno is strong but very simple. In fact, with the petition, Gatta wants to propose a sort of “healthcare Daspo”: anyone who is the protagonist of episodes of violence against healthcare workers will not be entitled to treatment. “We have gone from the applause from the balconies of the Covid era to the current slaps in the hallways – we read further in the petition published online -. A country that calls itself civilized protects its healthcare professionals and does not protect those who know and use violence as their only form of behavior.
