Al-Marsad Newspaper: A public auction was held in the Libyan city of Musaed to sell the “most expensive hawk in the world”, the price of which reached almost one million dollars, about 4 million and 700 thousand Libyan dinars, after being captured the southwest region.
The organizers of the auction claimed that the bird was sold for this amount due to its unique characteristics and rarity in the world and the breed to which it belongs.
During the auction, which was attended by many traders, hunters and bird breeders in Libya, the hawk was bought by a Libyan trader named Hatem Boughla, stressing that it is worth the amount he paid for its purchase.
He added that this hawk will be presented as a gift to the commander of the Libyan army “Tariq bin Ziyad” battalion, Saddam Haftar.
