The police revealed that the FS perpetrator sold the presenter’s car Caren Delano to recipients worth tens of millions. The remaining money from the crime was less than IDR 1 million.
Setiabudi Police Chief Commissioner Arif Purnama Oktora said the car was sold to a collector for IDR 50 million. The proceeds of the crime were then divided between the suspect FS and 2 other perpetrators who acted as intermediaries.
“FS made a profit from the sale of Caren Delano’s car amounting to IDR 35 million, then suspect H made a profit of IDR 13.5 million, and suspect MZ himself made a profit of IDR 1.5 million,” said Arif at a press conference at the Setiabudi Police Headquarters, Jakarta. South, Friday (6/10/2023).
Of the IDR 35 million proceeds from the crime, the remaining money with suspect FS was less than IDR 1 million. The money is used for his daily needs.
“Also confiscated was Rp. 900 thousand in cash, the remainder of the proceeds of crimes committed by the FS perpetrators,” he said.
Already Planned
The police revealed that the suspect FS (54) had intended to embezzle presenter Caren Delano’s car. The suspect planned to sell Caren Delano’s car after 5 days of working as a private driver.
“On the fifth day when I worked with Brother Caren Delano, it was planned,” said Setiabudi Police Chief Commissioner Arif Purnama Oktora at a press conference at Setiabudi Police, South Jakarta, Friday (6/10/2023).
Arif revealed that FS took photos of Caren Delano’s car. He then offered the car to the collector.
“So before carrying out or fleeing the vehicle belonging to Caren’s brother or the perpetrator, he had the intention of providing information as well as photos of the vehicle for sale. So it was for sale,” he said.
Role of 5 Suspects
Previously, Police Commissioner Arif revealed that there were 5 suspects involved in stealing Caren Delano’s car. They act as pickers, collectors and intermediaries.
The five suspects and their roles are as follows:
1. FS (54), private driver and perpetrator of embezzlement
2. MJ (42), perpetrator of detention or intermediary for the sale of vehicle units
3. H (41), perpetrator of detention or sales intermediary
4.A (DPO)
5. TZ (DPO)
