The National Investigation Service has completed the investigation against Georgi Semerdzhiev for the Cherni Vrah Blvd incident.
Semerdzhiev will have to answer for four charges: for the accident and the death of the two young women, for driving under the influence of alcohol, for using a false license and for possession of drugs. A few days ago, the Sofia Court of Appeal finally refused to release Georgi Semerdzhiev from custody.
According to the court, if he is free, there is a danger that he will escape and commit another crime. Semerdzhiev filed an application asking for a lighter pre-trial detention measure due to his deteriorating health, but the court rejected it, noting that there were all legal grounds to continue his arrest.
