The Saint Joseph KEP Foundation invites you to free webinars for teachers of religion

The Saint Joseph Foundation of the Polish Episcopal Conference invites you to free webinars for teachers of religion, which are a form of support in the field of protecting children and young people from sexual abuse.

Free webinars for teachers

The Saint Joseph Foundation has launched the “SAFE” Project with the new school year, which is a series of catechism scenarios along with multimedia materials on the topic of prevention sexual abuse. The project also offers support for teachers. In addition to 10 expert podcasts, it invites you to free webinars.

Webinar 1. – will take place on 24.09.2024 from 19:00 to 20:30. It will be led by the authors of the catechesis scripts: dr hab. Aneta Rayzacher-Majewska and Aleksandra Bałoniak. They will present the topics of the materials they have prepared.

Webinar 2. – will take place on 28.10.2024 also from 19:00 to 20:30. It will be led by Father Wojciech Bojanowski SI, who cooperates with the Child Protection Center. He will talk about how to bring up the topic of abuse, harm, prevention and one’s own dignity in lessons.

Professional support for teachers

“In response to the need for continuous development among teachers, we plan to conduct educational webinars. We want to use this form to constantly accompany catechists, to be their support, so as not to leave them alone with the topics and issues that will arise on an ongoing basis when using our materials,” says Fr. Karol Faj, coordinator of the “BEZPIECZNI” Project.

The professionalization of teaching staff is part of the activities of the Saint Joseph Foundation, one of whose tasks is to take care of the prevention and prevention of sexual abuse.

Project “SAFE”

The “BEZPIECZNI” project was implemented on behalf of the Saint Joseph KEP Foundation. It consists of catechism scenarios with elements of sexual abuse prevention with audiovisual materials for each stage of education. The project also includes expert podcasts for teachers.

The scenarios were prepared by dr hab. Aneta Rayzacher-Majewska and Aleksandra Bałoniak in cooperation with the Catholic Education Commission of the Polish Episcopal Conference. They were also consulted with specialists from the Child Protection Center.
