The Saint-André Neighborhood Center Prepares for the P’tit Bois Festival: Inauguration of Associative Café and Family Activities

“The highlight of the party will be the inauguration of the associative café on Friday evening”, rejoices in advance Estelle Guinoiseau, family referent of the neighborhood house.

It was a request from residents who no longer had a place to meet.

Thus, in March 2023, a group of about twenty people launched the first associative café hotlines.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at noon, everyone can come with their picnic or dish to warm up.

A hot drink or a syrup are at their disposal with free participation.

The good atmosphere is often there.

Like the other day, when young high school students stayed to play cards with the seniors.

The weekend will be dense.

From Saturday, the company Hippo Tam Tam will engage families in a comedy Click Clack, Zig Zagwhich will end with a crazy photo.

As for the Patakes company, well known to the Yonnais, it will embark on Molière’s Apéro-Topsie, “a story of desacralizing the character”.

It is in music that this first day will end with the P’tit Bois beef.

Farmer’s market and garage sales

The next day, the surroundings of the neighborhood house will be fully invested.

A local farmers’ market in the morning and throughout the day a garage sale which has already attracted around sixty exhibitors.

At noon, an oyster bar.

But for those who prefer culinary exoticism, a Senegalese dish will be offered to them by the Assam Dignité association.

We can also choose the croque-monsieur cooked by the young people of the household who want to finance their activities. Everything will be animated by the Musician Friends.

These are amateurs who meet every Thursday evening at the community center for the pleasure of playing traditional music together.

Another surprise of the day, the BIMM. A mobile intervention brigade marching band, which will roam between the association stands, around the smoothie bike or the inflatable giraffe on whose neck the children will enjoy jumping.

“And for the party to be beautiful, we of course ordered good weather”, concludes Estelle Guinoiseau.
