A young woman was raped while receiving urgent medical treatment in a Paris hospital, French. The rape was committed by another patient and occurred while the victim was sleeping in the treatment room.

The lawyer for the victim, Laura Abecassis, said so AFP extension that the man suspected of committing the rape has been arrested.
He also said the 22-year-old suspect, whose name has not been released, was under orders to leave France immediately. His nationality was not mentioned.
Abecassis added that the victim also filed a complaint for putting her life in danger after the rape. The complaint could open the door for French prosecutors to further investigate the circumstances surrounding the rape.
“This was double trauma for my client: the rape itself and the conditions surrounding it. She wanted… to understand how very serious acts like this could happen in a public institution,” Abecassis said.
According to a source familiar with the case, this act of rape was discovered when a nurse noticed a man in the victim’s nursing room. The nurse saw the man rape the victim while the victim was sleeping.
