The Association of the Sacred Art Guild has announced the awards and recognitions that will be delivered on December 1. According to the agreement of the board of directors, an award will be given to the Andalusian Government for “his determined and constant commitment in recent years to our heritage, our traditions and centuries-old trades such as those that make up sacred art”. Also, they will recognize Seville City Councilfor “the support for our sector, since the birth of the ‘SevillaFecit’ exhibition, and with the creation of the hallmarks of quality for sacred art in Seville”.
On the other hand, recognition will be given to Lorena Garrido, General Director of Commerce of Andalusiafor “his involvement and support for the recognition and positioning of sacred art, not only in Andalusia, but beyond the borders of our country.”
Lastly, the ‘Arfe’ award for an entire career goes to Charo Bernardinoan embroiderer with almost 70 years of experience, almost four decades with her own workshop and a catalog of extraordinary works, which have made her a benchmark in artistic embroidery.
In the previous Sacred Art gala, the artisans paid tribute to the goldsmith Juan Borrero.
