Russian troops are abducting leaders of the resistance movement in the occupied Ukrainian cities, the Ukrainian Disinformation Center said on Monday morning.

“As of March 11, the forces of the Russian Federation have been using tactics that are unique to terrorists,” abducting the leaders of the Ukrainian resistance movement, “the center said in a statement.

The mayor of Dniprorudne, Yevheny Matveyev, the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, the chairman of the Melitopol district council, Serhiy Priima, and the deputy of the Zaporizhia district council, Leila Ibrahimov, and Olha Haimusov, who organized anti-Russian occupation in Melitopol, have been abducted since March 11.

“All these people are united by one thing – trust in Ukraine. “They have refused to cooperate with the enemies, thus finally dispelling their hopes of welcoming them with flowers,” the center said in a statement.

The Disinformation Center says the next step for the invaders is to try to push their puppets into the place of the kidnapped.

“However, only the criminal liability for treason is expected. By resorting to terror in the occupied territories, the aggressor tries to break the spirit of the people and persuade them to submit. But Melitopol has shown that the Ukrainian spirit is indestructible, ”the center said.
