The Russian prosecutor’s office wants to ban the game Last Train Home from the Czech studio

The prosecutor’s office claims that the game does not correspond to the “traditional values of contemporary Russian society”, “contains false information about the activities of state authorities at the time” and “denies historical facts and glorifies representatives of the Czechoslovak legions”. According to her, this can damage the “mental and social health of children”.

Since its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Moscow has stepped up its fight against what it calls “Western values”. At the same time, it is hitting the media and foreign internet services harder, and is having content disputes with a number of technology companies.

The developers of Last Train Home invite players to embark on a “desperate mission deep into the war-torn wasteland and unforgiving landscape of Siberia.” According to them, the game depicts the experiences of Czechoslovak legionnaires and their determination to return to the newly established Czechoslovak Republic after the First World War.
