A rather complicated case of BRW is described in “Puls Biznesu”. In short, there are more than 20 “company stores” under this brand in Russia, and more than 150 “partner stores”. The stores are still operating without any problems, and on the website they directly refer to the history of the company from Biłgoraj. The Polish side, however, assures that it has nothing to do with them.
– Shops that operate in Russia under the BRW logo, they belong to local entrepreneurs who have no contracts with us that would allow them to use this trademark – says “Puls Biznesu” Dariusz Formela, CEO of BRW.
So where does BRW in Russia come from? The trail goes through Belarus. As we read, the Russian BRW-Brilan is a trading partner of 60 percent. to BRW and BRW Brest Foreign Enterprise registered in Belarus.

The Polish side explains that Belarus is managed in Brest and that “there is no formal possibility of making an immediate decision to liquidate or cease operations”.

The ties are therefore between Poland-Belarus and Belarus-Russia, but not Poland-Russia. It is true that BRW owns 40 percent. shares in the Russian company BRW Mebel in Bałabanowo, but this is to be “in the process of operational liquidation”.
However, BRW declares that it will “clean” its eastern interests in the near future. “At the next general meetings of shareholders, which will be held this and next month, BRW, as a partner of BRW Brześć and BRW Mebel, will apply for formal actions to remove the BRW logo from the Russian market” – declares the president in “Puls Biznesu”.

Long list present in Russia
As reported in Business Insider Polska, the research team of the renowned Yale School of Management has compiled a list of companies that were present on the Russian market and checked what decisions they made in connection with Russia’s attack on Ukraine. It turns out that some are completely insensitive to consumer pressure and seem not to be afraid of a media storm and a boycott of their products. The list of those that will stay in Russia includes two Polish brands: Cersanit and Polpharma.
List of companies that have not even decided to suspend their activities or even limit investments, including those listed above, includes 42 items.
