Wei Dongxu, a military commentator of Global Information Broadcasting of China Central Radio and Television, explained that the Russian military organized this exercise mainly to achieve three goals.
Demonstrate the ability of the Russian fleet to break through the NATO naval blockade.
Rehearses capabilities for naval support against Kaliningrad.
The joint combat capability of the exercise and the Russian Aerospace Forces constitutes a more powerful naval and air combat system.

Wei Dongxu further analyzed that in the Baltic region, new changes have emerged in the game between Russia and NATO.
Now that Finland has officially become a member of NATO, once Sweden joins the NATO military alliance, the security situation around the Baltic Sea may become more severe.
In the direction of the Baltic Sea, Russia does not compete with the NATO military bloc for its overall military power, but adopts innovative combat concepts and focuses on deploying new killer weapons and equipment to check and balance NATO.
For example, installing “Dagger” hypersonic missiles on MiG-31 fighter jets and “Zircon” hypersonic missiles on small combat ships can achieve the effect of fighting big with small things.
