The Russian national team drew with Uzbekistan, finishing the game without a goal for the second consecutive time
The friendly match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Russia has ended. The meeting took place in Tashkent at the Pakhtakor stadium. The final whistle from head referee Daniyar Sakhi from Kazakhstan set a goalless draw.
In the first half of the game the Russian team had more ball possession, but the home team had the only real chance to open an account: Eldor Shomurodov shot to Farrukh Saifiyev, who shot from a few meters – Anton Shunin saved the Russian team.
In the second half, the most dangerous moment came at the gates of the Uzbekistan team: Arsen Zakharyan caught a defender’s mistake, entered the penalty area and found Alexander Sobolev with a pass, who shot on goal – the goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov coped with the shot. As a result, the teams failed to open an account – 0:0.
Note that the previous match of the Russian team with Tajikistan also ended in a goalless draw.
