Russian President Vladimir Putin could be killed by his own military in a coup. This is the opinion of Robert Tronton, an expert in conflict research from the Royal College in London, reports The Sun.
The expert says that the generals of the Russian Federation have begun to fear that Vladimir Putin has changed his attitude towards Ukraine and will continue to act much softer than in the beginning.
The first reason for this opinion was that the Russian troops were withdrawn from Kyiv and as a result all forces were transferred to Donbass.
The Central Intelligence Agency, together with the Federal Security Service, can easily eliminate the head of state. Such measures will be taken if the generals notice that the Russian armed forces have begun to lose their positions in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
Vladimir Putin could be faced with a serious choice. He will have to voluntarily retire or die. The British specialist stressed that it will not be difficult to convince the people of Russia that the president died by accident. It is worth noting that such machinations have been repeatedly carried out with communist leaders.
Tronton believes that Putin is very much influenced by his generals. And the more losses the Russian Federation suffers, the stronger the pressure on the country’s head.
To date, more than 30,000 Russian soldiers have been killed, and a huge amount of military equipment and the main ship of the Black Sea Fleet have been destroyed. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, no goal set by the Russian president has been achieved.
“The army cannot continue to lose so many people for a long time. In addition, not only manpower but also weapons are gradually running out. The soldiers are already beginning to lose heart and do not trust the leadership. They are increasingly wondering why all this is necessary, “said Tronton.
Already today, ordinary soldiers and junior officers have begun to take an interest in such matters to their top leadership.
If a coup takes place in Russia, the best troops will immediately be diverted from the front line to Moscow. The fact that the troops began to move will be immediately recorded by satellites. This will be a signal that Putin will end very soon.
At the same time, Tronton fears that a more brutal man who is very familiar with the art of war will come after the coup. There is a risk that the new Russian president will still use nuclear weapons to force Ukraine to surrender.
