Satellite photos show that a large Russian convoy stranded near the Ukrainian capital last week appears to have dispersed, the Associated Press and Reuters reported.
Satellite images of the private American company Maxar Technologies show a 65-kilometer convoy of vehicles, tanks and artillery. It seems that it has been divided into parts and relocated, BTA reported.
Armored vehicles from the convoy have been spotted maneuvering in towns near Antonov Airport north of Kyiv. Some of the vehicles have moved to wooded areas, Maksar reported.
The convoy flocked to the capital early last week, but its advance was halted amid reports of food and fuel shortages.
U.S. officials say Ukrainian troops fired anti-tank missiles at the convoy.
The photos also show that parts of the convoy were moving further north near Lubyanka, with artillery howitzers being withdrawn to nearby firing positions.
