Dissatisfaction with Russia is growing. The Russian consulate in New York City (USA) was attacked with red spray paint early Friday morning. This was confirmed by a spokesman for the New York Police Department (NYPD).
Police responded to a call shortly after 1:30 on Friday, according to US media. The facade of the Russian consulate on the Upper East Side has been vandalized. No arrests were made after the attack. The New York City Police Department continues to investigate what they classify as a “possible injury incident”.
The color attack follows the news of the annexation of four Ukrainian regions. This was finally announced on Friday by Russian President Vladimir Putin (69). He signed annexation treaties.
The embassy in Washington has been smeared several times
The United States and the West clearly view the move as illegal. Meanwhile, Putin is trying to justify the move with bogus referendums in Ukrainian regions.
Already at the start of the war in Ukraine, the Russian embassy in Washington, DC was the subject of numerous protests. Shortly after the invasion by Russian forces in February, part of the message was smeared with the word “murder”. (European Union)
