The Russian army has delivered blood supplies and medical supplies to the border with Ukraine, raising concerns about a possible attack, three US officials have revealed.
Existing and former U.S. officials told Reuters that certain indicators, such as blood stocks, were crucial in determining whether Moscow would be ready for an invasion if Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to do so.
News of the transfer of blood supplies to the border further raises fears that Russia, which has concentrated its troops on Ukraine’s borders, could attack a neighboring country.
The US Department of Defense has not responded to Reuters’ comments.
The White House and the Pentagon have not yet commented.
Three officials, who wished to remain anonymous, did not disclose when the U.S. noticed supplies of blood supplies at the border, but two officials said it had done so in recent weeks.
