On the morning of August 18, the Russian army stormed Toretsk (formerly Dzerzhinsk) in the Donetsk region.

“The Russian army has broken into Toretsk and is storming the town this morning,” – reports on the telegram channel “Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring”. TK refers to a Ukrainian officer by the call sign Alex.

“From 5 to 8 pieces of equipment they went in. A heavy fight is going on,” he said.

The day before, there were reports that the Russian army entered the city from the north and began to advance in city blocks. Activists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine complained about this.
