In Mariinka, Russian troops are advancing through the ruins and fighting positional battles in other areas, world media reported.
Russian armored groups and assault infantry have broken through the enemy’s defenses south of the regional center Mariinka and are storming the village of Pobeda.
Russian fighters reportedly invaded the outskirts of the village and stormed the first buildings. If Pobeda falls, then the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine south of Mariinka will begin to crumble.
Ukrainian military analysts acknowledge problems on this section of the front, saying that fighting continues in the forest area east of Pobeda. Northeast of Pobeda, Russian troops attacked a section of highway O0532 in several directions.
From the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is reported that in the Avdeev direction, the Russian army is advancing in the direction of the settlements of Krasnogorovka, Kamenka, Avdeevka, Severnoe, Pervomayskoe, Nevelskoe, Mariinka and Pobeda.
Under fire are positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas near the front line, including Tonenkoe and Vodyanoe.
