For the mayors of the mountain municipalities, Uncem, Federfarma and Sunifar Federfarma – which coordinates the “rural pharmacies” – the one relating to flu vaccines is a real alarm: we need to release the doses, because those purchased by the state are currently not they are sufficient to cover the needs.
From tomorrow (Monday, November 16) all pharmacies have expressed their willingness to distribute vaccines against the flu, but – according to Uncem – “the average doses of vaccine per exercise are still too few to meet the more than reasonable and numerous requests. The vaccination practice against influenza represents a fundamental tool to prevent the onset of symptoms of the latter, easy to confuse in the first instance with those of Covid-19, from contributing to slowing down recognition and containment“.
In short, pharmacists – even from mountain municipalities – have been receiving requests for days from their potential recipients (many of whom, obviously, are part of the health risk categories), which they already know very likely will not be able to cope.
“We hope – the President Uncem hopes Marco Bussone – that the State is able to obtain a greater production of doses of vaccines to cope with the situation and, in a period of profound insecurity and constant concern like the one we are experiencing, enable pharmacies to be able to deliver this to citizens with due punctuality important service. With Federfarma and with Sunifar we continue to work to strengthen the local pharmacies. I thank Andrea Garrone, Marco Cossolo, Gianni Petrosillo, all Federfarma executives for the work that is being done together for the benefit of our communities“.
