The coronation of Carlos III served to demonstrate once again that the new generations are going strong and that the monarch’s grandchildren are the real breath of fresh air that manages to dust off the Crown and bring it closer to the people.
William and Kate’s children, George, 9; Charlotte, 8; and Louis, 5, sit 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the line of succession to the UK throne, but their parents want them to be raised as “normal” as possible. “It’s not about how many toys they have or how many trips you take with them,” their mother, Kate, recently said. “You just have to make sure they have the right emotional support around them.”
Although the children behave great in public events and stoically endured the two hours that their grandfather’s coronation ceremony lasted, at times, they also show their spontaneity, especially the smallest, who that day “gave us” great greetings, faces and dances from Buckingham’s balcony.
