«Very last trip. This week our Muffin died of cancer. The whole family’s fun sea urchin and best friend who was born at home in the living room “, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wrote on Instagram at the time.
Muffin’s Sea urchin is the daughter of the family’s second dog, Milly Kakao and was born in the summer of 2013.
New addition to the family
Now, however, Milly Kakao has been joined by the Crown Prince’s family’s latest grant. It shared the royal house on Instagram on Christmas Eve itself.
“Welcome to Molly Fiskebolle, the newest member of the Crown Prince’s family.”
– It is clear that the joy is great at Skaugum now. The best Christmas present must have been Molly Fiskebolle, says See and Hear royal house expert, Caroline Vagle.
Vagle tells Dagbladet that dogs have always been an important part of the family.
– The dogs are on May 17 and on a ski trip. They have also participated in official assignments and are involved in family photos.
The king himself has also had dogs, but then hunting skins, according to Vagle.
Close to the princess
One who may have been extra happy for the little puppy, may be Princess Ingrid Alexandra. She has had an extra close bond with the family’s dogs, says vagle.
– The biggest gift we still gave you as a child was to first get Milly into your life, and then nine puppies and muffins that were left, Crown Princess Mette-Marit said in the princess’ confirmation speech in 2019.
