Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed minus 1.31% at 4,934 at the close of trading on Tuesday (22/9/2020) amidst a number of negative sentiments affecting the domestic and global stock markets.

Indonesia Stock Exchange trade data recorded daily transaction value of Rp 7.91 trillion with a trading volume of 8.66 billion shares.

The IDX market capitalization reached Rp 5,738 trillion, with a record that 123 stocks rose, 305 shares fell, and 147 stocks were stagnant.


Apart from the minus JCI, the LQ45 Index which contains 45 stocks with good fundamentals and okay liquidity is also minus 1.51% at the level of 767.97 along with the fall of all stock indices on the IDX.

Global stock market sentiment came from a global banking scandal through data revealed by the FinCEN Files which contains a collection of important and confidential documents in the world of banking and finance. FinCEN is a specialized bureau under the US Department of the Treasury.

The next sentiment regarding the recession signal from the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati. Minister of Finance said the Indonesian economy in Q3-2020 could be minus 2.9% to minus 1.0%.

“The negative territory in the third quarter will take place in the fourth quarter. However, we are trying to get closer to zero,” Sri Mulyani said in a press conference for our September State Budget, Tuesday (22/9).

Amid the fall in this index, there were still stocks that recorded significant gains.

In fact, this strengthening was actually listed for stocks with a price range below the gopek alias IDR 500 / share. In addition, most of them also include new shares listed on the IDX, aka stocks initial publik offering (IPO).

1. PT Karya Bersama Anugerah Tbk (KBAG)

This residential development company in Balikpapan, named Rumah Kota Green Valley, entered the stock exchange on April 8, 2020 with an initial price (IPO) of IDR 105 / share. Last Tuesday, KBAG’s shares soared 23.53% to Rp 84 / share with a transaction value of Rp 18.34 billion and a trading volume of 229.88 million shares.

2. PT Megalestari Epack Sentosaraya Tbk (EPAC)

Issuer this listing on July 1, 2020 on the IDX. This plastic goods industry issuer offers 250 million common shares or 7.57% of the total paid-up capital. During this action EPAC offered an IPO price of IDR 110 / share. Last Tuesday, EPAC shares soared 16.58% to Rp 398 / share with a transaction value of Rp 6.11 billion and a trading volume of 16.58 million shares.

3. PT Sumber Global Energy Tbk (SGER)

SGER shares rose 17.90% to Rp 382 / share with a transaction value of Rp 7.08 billion and a trading volume of 19.49 million shares on Tuesday’s trade. SGER officially listed its shares on the IDX on Monday (10/8/2020). The issuer coded SGER which focuses on the new and renewable energy (EBT) business offers an initial price of IDR 108 / share.

4. PT Dewata Freightinternational Tbk (DEAL)

DEAL shares rose 9.09% at the level of Rp 144 / share with a transaction value of Rp 19.63 billion and a trading volume of 137.03 million shares. Dewata Freightinternational is a company engaged in transportation management services (freight forwarding), including via land, sea and air transportation. The company also carries out business activities of transportation, export / import and domestic forwarding. DEAL IPO on November 9, 2018 at an initial price of IDR 150 / share.

5. PT Putri Rajawali Kencana Tbk (PURA)

PURA shares rose 5.88% to Rp 144 / share with a transaction value of Rp 22.77 billion and a trading volume of 161.75 million shares. PURA officially listed its initial shares on Wednesday (29/1/2020). PThe company, which is engaged in logistics, released 1.8 billion shares or 33.95% of the issued and fully paid capital at a price of IDR 105 / share.

As for the last month, or the last 30 trading days up to Tuesday, shares below the price of Rp 500 also shot up.
