Thanks to the many medical posts provided last year, the Rothenthurm Medical Association treated itself to a two-day trip to the Creux du Van.
The two organizers Astrid and Laura spared no effort and put together an interesting and entertaining program.
On our trip we were first able to visit the Jura company in Niederbuchsiten and even roast our own coffee. Unfortunately, the brand ambassador Roger Federer was not there in person, but at least he was there as a wax figure.
When we arrived at our destination, Creux du Van, we enjoyed the view of the impressive rock faces in beautiful weather. But what surprised us most was the appearance of a stately ibex, which we promptly named Giachen.
The first day ended with the realization that absinthe would not become our favorite drink, entertaining games, and exciting and funny conversations.
On the second day, we were able to demonstrate our skills at the laser game and in the rope park. During the laser game, one or two members showed unexpected ambition in hunting and shooting, or discovered their enthusiasm for flying in the rope park.
With our club member and chauffeur Stephan we had a strong-nerved and competent driver who was not impressed by the traffic jam or the singing of his passengers. So on the evening of the second day of the trip we returned home safely and with lots of laughter and the odd glass of wine.
