Mexico City., October 10, 2024.- Benjamin Gil, manager of the Mexican Baseball Teamannounced at a press conference in the Charros Pan American Stadium the roster of 28 players who will represent the Ninth Mexico in the third edition of the Premier 12.

He Charros Pan American Stadiumin Jalisco, and the Santa Teresita Stadiumin Nayarit, will be the headquarters of the Group A of the Premier 12a sector that will be made up of the selections of Mexico, United States, Panama, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Netherlands; while in the Group B are located by Japan, Australia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, South Korea and Chinese Taipei. The first game of Group B will be on November 13 in Nagoya, Japan, and the remaining 14 matches will be held in Taipei City.

The top two teams in each group will advance to the Super Round, to be played November 21-23 in Tokyo, Japan. On November 24 in Tokyo the Premier 12 Grand Final will be played between the two best teams in the Super Round.

Super Round to be played from November 21 to 23 in Japan

Grand Final, Sunday, November 24 at the Tokyo Dome

The 2024 edition will be the third edition in the history of the Premier 12. In the first edition, in 2015, South Korea defeated the United States in the final; Japan beat Mexico in the third place game. On that occasion, Mexico’s stars were Humberto Sosa (.346 batting average, 1 home run and 6 RBIs) and Juan Pérez (.348 batting average, 1 home run and 3 RBIs).

In the second edition, 2019, Japan beat South Korea in the final; Mexico beat the United States in the third place game. Mexico’s stars in the 2019 Premier 12 were Jonathan Jones (.367 batting average, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs) and Matt Clark (.300 batting average, 3 home runs and 4 RBIs).
