The roof of one of the grandstands or stands at the Formula E Circuit collapsed due to strong winds and rain. A number of tents were prepared to anticipate a similar incident from happening again.
Rain and strong winds make the roof of the grandstand at the Formula E . Circuit damaged on Friday (27/5) around 23.00. Formula E committee chairman Ahmad Sahroni said the damaged roof of the Formula E grandstand was immediately repaired.
“Strong winds and thunderstorms last night, only 1 grandstand that collapsed, only the roof, but it was immediately reworked this morning,” said Sahroni.
“Additional strength to the tent will be added so that it doesn’t happen again as long as it’s not a storm like last night,” he continued.
From one of the photos circulating, it can be seen that the white roof of the Formula E stands was damaged. Roofs fell onto the stands and a number of sides of the Formula E Circuit.
“God willing, tomorrow will be okay,” said Sahroni.
