The roof of an uninhabited house caught fire in Chartres

“80 m² of roof of a house were destroyed,” said Lieutenant Frédéric Guichard, in charge of relief.

The latter has banned traffic in this one-way street. The officer mobilized firefighters, including using a truck with a ladder to access the roof: “Two lances were needed to neutralize the fire.”

Fire on the roof of a house rue de Rechèvres, in Chartres.

A disaster whose origin is unknown. The house is uninhabited, like twenty-eight other houses, former SNCF housing, destined to be demolished. Four houses have already been destroyed to make way for a new project.
