The Romea Theater hosts the closing of the II National Congress of Household Managers

The closing event, presented by Antonio Hidalgo and Azucena Marín, began with the talk ‘Well-being begins at home’, given by Margarita Álvarez, CEO of Working for Hapiness, and author of the book ‘Deconstructing happiness’. Next, the round table ‘Managing what is important’ was held, in which the general director of Women and Prevention of Gender Violence of the Community, Ana Belén Martínez, participated; Josefina García, rector of the San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM); Djamil Tony Kahale Carrillo, professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and academic director of the Menéndez Pelayo International University in Cartagena; Cristina García, Director of Social Services of the Murcia City Council, and Margarita Álvarez.

In addition, Iberconsumo’s board of directors presented its newly created National Confederation, which brings together the main associations of housewives, consumers and users in Spain, present at the event. The event continued with the screening of the documentary ‘To the shore: Housewives, pillars of well-being’, which commemorates the 60th anniversary of the housewives’ association movement in the Region of Murcia. This documentary had its official premiere at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Brussels, on October 8, International Housewife’s Day.

As a final touch, and before the ceremony of awarding Diplomas accrediting attendance at the Congress (endorsed by the UIMP and UCAM Universities), a musical performance was held by the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users of Abarán. This congress ended with the closing ceremony led by the general director of El Pozo Alimentación, Rafael Fuertes, and the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta.
