The Roman Theater of Mérida: Presided Over by the Goddess Ceres

Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility, has presided over the Roman Theater of Mérida since its excavation and subsequent reconstruction at the beginning of the 20th century. But it is known that she originally occupied a privileged place on the stage front along with other sculptures.
