The 53-year-old actor is said to have earned between £ 200,000 and £ 249,000 for his role as Ian Beale on the BBC soap opera – and made an additional £ 1.2million during the lockdown of his actor management company .

Not only that, his new business Caledfwlch – which he set up before his next stint on I’m A Celebrity – has already cashed in another quarter of a million pounds.
Adam is said to have signed a six-figure sum to appear on the ITV reality show, which takes place at Gwrych Castle in North Wales.
Now we can reveal that he is on his way to making millions when he leaves EastEnders for good, while his furious wife Beverley, 56, struggles for money.
According to popular culture expert Nick Ede, Adam could kill his appearance in I’m A Celeb, as fans can finally see the man behind Ian Beale.
Adam’s life is now a world away from his childhood, which he spent much of on hiding in his bedroom to avoid the terrible moods of his father Brinley.
Here we reveal how he went from working in local butchers to a household name worth £ 1.7million.
Difficult childhood
Adam grew up in Walthamstow, east London, and attended Sylvia Young Theater School – which also has Tom Fletcher, Keeley Hawes and Jesy Nelson among its alumni – part-time while studying at Forest Hill School .
He bagged roles in commercials from the age of seven, and at 13 he appeared on stage at the National Theater in Tom Stoppard’s play On The Razzle.
Upon leaving Sylvia Young, he appeared in the BBC children’s drama series The Baker Street Boys.
Despite an enchanted school life, her home life was a different story.
Adam’s mother, Maureen Woodyatt, previously told how his cop father Brinley – who died of cancer in 1997 – “made their life hell”.
“Brinley believed that children should be treated like puppies. He said they needed to be trained. It broke my heart, ”she told The Sunday People.
“Everything had to be a lesson for Adam, it was never fun. It was not a normal father-son relationship.
Maureen said he sometimes refused to talk to her son for weeks and that his bad mood made Adam hide in his room for hours.
She revealed how, despite being willing to pay Adam’s school fees, Brinley would refuse to buy toys and new clothes for his son, meaning he would end up paying for them himself on the income of his child actor.
Maureen continued, “Everything had to be perfect – otherwise he would be in a bad mood. I once forgot to put salt on the table while I was serving dinner. He didn’t speak for three weeks.
“I tried to prevent Adam from knowing what his father looked like. But Adam always knew from the look on his face if his father was in a bad mood.
“He would just get out of his way and go to his room.” “

EastEnders role and heartache
In 1985, aged 16 and working at his local butcher’s shop, Adam won his decisive role as Ian Beale.
“I thought if EastEnders didn’t work, then at least I could start cutting meat again,” he revealed to Radio Times.
“I just wanted to make some money, which sounds a lot like Ian Beale, doesn’t it?” “
He left home to live closer to Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, where the soap opera is being filmed.
At the same time, Maureen moved out and filed for divorce from Brinley for unreasonable behavior.
She said: “Brinley was on sick leave and was referred to a psychiatrist for help.
“His work had put him under incredible pressure. But the stress he went through affected all of our lives.
Brothers lost to follow-up
Maureen also took the opportunity to tell Adam about the four half-brothers he didn’t know had previous secret marriages from his parents.
She said Brinley was a control freak and forbade her to tell Adam about her siblings, and she didn’t dare go behind his back.
It wasn’t until she “escaped” and left Brinley that she was finally able to tell him the truth.
“Obviously he was very shocked. During all these years he thought he was an only child and he desperately wanted a brother, ”she said.
“I told him what I had been through and he hugged me and we both cried.
“Adam got it, even though he said he would have preferred to know from the start. “
Success of Place Albert
Her real life may have been dramatic, but she is pale compared to that of her alter-ego EastEnders.
Over the past 35 years, Ian has had six marriages and five wives – Cindy Williams, Mel Healy, Laura Dunn, Jane Collins (twice) and Sharon Watts.
In 2007, his eldest son Steven shot his then wife, Jane, resulting in a hysterectomy, and in April 2014, his daughter Lucy was murdered by Ian and Jane’s son, Bobby.
He constantly feuds with Phil Mitchell, was shot by a hitman hired by his wife Cindy, has been homeless and has even seen his mother Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) return from the dead.
Adam won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the British Soap Awards in 2013.
In Gillian’s speech, she said, “He’s the longest-serving cast member of EastEnders, whose on-screen character could be one of the most unhappy, scheming, and, let’s be honest, people. annoying things you might want to encounter.
“But that’s a testament to what a great actor he is because in real life he’s one of the most loving, warm, and entertaining people you can meet!” “
Divided marriage
The woman alongside Adam throughout his time in the limelight was dancer Beverley Sharp, whom he married on April 8, 1998 in Disney World, Florida.
The couple have two grown children, Jessica, 28, and Samuel, 24, and have lived for many years in Southam, Warwickshire.
However, in August last year it was revealed that Adam had decided to part ways with his wife the previous year and was living in a £ 93,000 motorhome in the countryside.
Sources said the split was amicable, but it later emerged that the divorce had turned toxic as Adam did not offer Bev a “fair deal.”

Adieu Walford ?
Around the same time her marriage broke up, it was revealed that Adam would be taking an extended 10-week break from EastEnders.
He has not yet returned to Albert Square. Ian was last seen running away after discovering Sharon had poisoned him in revenge for inadvertently killing his son Dennis Rickman.
In his spare time, Adam has performed in pantos and plays and is currently on tour with the stage show Looking Good Dead.
He is said to pay Bev “interim maintenance payments” to support her as she struggles financially while their divorce is finalized.
Adam is said to be leaving his role as Ian for good after his stint on I’m A Celeb, as he’s “desperate” to leave the character in the past.
A television insider told The Sun, “He’s excited to show the nation who the real Adam Woodyatt is.
“He’s optimistic it will open the minds of producers who might previously have thought of him only as Ian.” “
Nick Ede thinks Adam could make millions after I’m A Celeb, due to his status as a “Certified National Treasure”.
He told us exclusively: “The story of EastEnders stars doing well with I’m A Celebrity is a big one.
“Charlie Brooks won and Sid Owen became a Bushtucker trials icon – and let’s not forget Joe Swash was an EastEnders favorite too!
“I think Adam will make millions if he works at his mass appeal and is himself – we haven’t really known him in all these years as an actor rather than as Ian.” Beale.
“It will be a great opportunity for him to let go of his character and become a personality in his own right.
“If it works – and I have no doubt it will work – then he’ll be poised to make several million dollars from endorsements, public appearances, book offers and more.” “
