The National Education psychologist, specialty Education Development and Educational and Vocational Orientation Counseling (Psy-EN EDO) carries out his duties in the Information and Orientation Centers (CIO) where he or she is assigned ) and in secondary education establishments in the CIO sector.
He or she contributes to the implementation of the conditions for students’ academic success.
He or she informs students and their families and supports students in the progressive development of their academic and professional plans.
In conjunction with the educational teams, he or she participates in the design and implementation of actions allowing the appropriation of information on training and professions and the evolution of their representations.
He or she pays particular attention to students in difficulty, with disabilities or showing signs of psychological suffering.
He or she carries out psychological examinations (psychometric tests)
He or she supports the educational teams in matters of orientation in the development of the orientation component of the establishment project and is a technical advisor on information, orientation and assignment procedures.
He or she participates in IOC actions aimed at students and their families.
