Dr. Manar Al-Attar, Head of the Central Department of the Technical Secretariat of the National Council for Mental Health, said that any new narcotic substances that are discovered are reported and entered in the drug schedule to take appropriate measures in analyzes and others.

Al-Attar added, in her interview with the program “Sabah Al-Khair Ya Masr”, broadcast on Channel One and the Egyptian satellite channel, presented by media figures Ahmed Abdel Samad and Jumana Maher: “The new symptoms that indicated the presence of new materials were represented in various behaviors such as cases of severe agitation, attacks on others, and seizures. heart and physical symptoms, hence efforts were directed to discover the nature of these symptoms.

She explained, “The National Council for Mental Health was established under the Mental Patient Care Law, as it protects the patient from any violation of his right to hospital or anything else such as discrimination, stigma, and other violations, so that the environment around him is clean and safe.”

And she emphasized: “The council’s mission is to supervise government and private hospitals that treat mental patients in the inpatient departments, and the number of facilities that follow the council’s supervision has reached 192 government and private facilities, and this number is increasing all the time.”
