He said, there are several use cases that can be utilized by the industrial sector by utilizing 5G, ranging from smart factory, augmented reality, drone inspection, until enhanced video service.

Apart from being a service provider, Indra also said that Ericsson as a company has utilized automation in its own factories. With the automation applied, many benefits can be felt by the company.

“With more automation in the industry, can bring efficiency to production, nothing waste, reduce the process that is too long, and make product quality higher because it does not use manual inspection. This can also be done in Indonesia,” he said.

Therefore, Indra said, the presence of 5G which is starting to develop at this time can encourage the transformation of industry 4.0 in Indonesia. The benefits provided by 5G are not only accepted by the industry, but also by consumers.

This was also acknowledged by the Digital Transformation Leader of Schneider Electric Batam, Budi Sulistiarto. He said, connectivity is indeed one of the most important things in the effort digital transformation.
