It is the most acclaimed Christmas show in the world. ¨Spectacular Christmas¨at Radio City in New York, led by the dance group “Las Rockettes”it is an invitation to the universe of fantasies, where reality surpasses the imaginable.
With a multi-million dollar mega-production, for 94 yearsand without interruption, before the week of Las Fiestas – from the first days of November to the first week of January – the famous dancers perform five 90-minute shows a day.
The company was founded in 1925 and has always been characterized by the setting of linear choreographies, being all of the same height, the rigor in coordinating movements, raising the legs to eye level. In addition to dance and music, the show consists of live actors, singers, an orchestra of 70 musicians, and various mobile sets, with screens, 3D effects and even a New York City tour bus and an ice rink on stage.
This year, light drones in the shape of winged nymphs and projections on the ceiling of the theater have been added. It is snowing on the scene and even the scent of the place invites us to pass to the time of the nativity.
Obviously Santa Claus is another of its protagonists; He actively interacts with the public and flies over the stalls with his reindeer.
