The rocket kettle is not much different from other utility items. With one exception – when the water is boiling, instead of hearing an annoying whistle, we can see mini rockets spinning around the kettle. This “space gadget” won the hearts of Internet users. The video showing rockets spinning around the kettle has gained over 50,000. Twitter likes in one day. The post itself has been shared several thousand times.
Although in the description of the original Twitter post we read that the kettle was made in the 1960s ZSSRhis project is a bit younger. The kettle was designed by The Kamenstein and comes from the World of Motion collection.
The design dates back to 1999 and was patented by M. Kamenstein Inc. in the same year. from Elmsford, New York. A few years later, the product was withdrawn from production, which is why today it is desired by many design lovers and collectors. Its auction price reaches nearly a thousand dollars.
Kamenstein’s Motion Rocket tea kettle is made of polished stainless steel and holds 2.5 liters of water. At its top is a rotating ring powered by the steam produced when the water in the kettle begins to boil. Then the ring rotates and a pair of attached rockets circles the kettle.
