Although Roger Federer decided to put the racket down many months ago, the Swiss continues to make the news. His two other historical rivals, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, are still in the circuit although the Spaniard has a series of physical glitches. Roger Federer admitted that it was Rafael Nadal who gave him the most problems and didn’t mention the Serbian champion.
Federer, Djokovic et Nadal have been tennis’ biggest stars for decades. The “Big 3” terrorized all opponents who crossed their path, but it is between them that there is the biggest rivalry. Federer retired in 2022 playing a farewell doubles match at the Making Cup.

“The opponent against whom I had the most difficulty, I would say Nadal”
Federer recently talked about Rafael Nadal while he was at New York as part of a video for his equipment supplier Uniqlo: “If I have to name the opponent against whom I had the most difficulty during my career, I would say Rafael Nadal, especially because of his left-handed lift. Yes, I also thought about hanging up the racquet at certain points in my career because losing is really frustrating”. Novak Djokovic is therefore not quoted by the Swiss and will probably not appreciate the message.
Djokovic has the opportunity to outrun Nadal at the US Open
When Novak Djokovic lines up for a tournament, even more so in a Grand Slam, it seems unthinkable not to put him among the favorites. Nevertheless, the rise ofCarlos Alcaraz reshuffle the cards. The Spanish prodigy, title holder at the US Open, sees its power express itself wonderfully on the American surface. Revenge for his lost final atWimbledon, Novak Djokovic intends to give a hard time to the current world number 1.
