Dominant Head Injury Affects Productive Age
TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Head injury (head trauma) is a condition where the structure of the head experiences a collision and has the potential to cause interference with brain function.
Multiple conditions on head injury includes minor injuries, bruises to the scalp, swelling, bleeding, dislocations, and skull fractures concussion.
Other than that, head injury can also be divided into head injury open and closed.
An open head injury is when an injury causes damage to the skull bones up to the brain tissue.
Meanwhile, a closed head injury is when the injury does not cause damage to the skull, and does not directly hit the brain.

Doctor Ronny Setiawan, Sp.BS., from Siloam Hospitals Jambi, said, though head injury can happen to everyone.
According to him, risk head injury can increase when someone is in productive and active age such as 15-24 years, or elderly people aged 75 years and over.
“Newborn babies are also prone to experiencing this condition until they are 5 years old,” said Ronny, Wednesday (17/2/2021) through a live Instagram health education program held by the management of Siloam Hospitals Jambi.

In general the case head injury which causes deaths due to traffic accidents is still very high, especially in Jambi.
