The Texas Medical Association has developed a scale from 1 to 10 of the risk of contracting coronavirus according to the activity that is practiced. From taking mail from the mailbox, to going to the movies or eating at a buffet.
One means low risk and includes acts like ordering take-home food or opening the mailbox to get mail. Going for a walk, jog, or bike ride with more people already carries low to moderate risk. The same as if you go to a playground with your children.
Activities that are at moderate risk are going to the beach, shopping at a mall, sending the kids to camp or school, or going to work at the office. Playing football or basketball, traveling by plane or eating on the terrace of a restaurant carries a moderate to high risk.
And the most dangerous and risky activities for contracting the coronavirus are eating at a buffet, going to the gym, the cinema, a concert, a bar, a crowded stadium or attending a mass with more than 500 congregation.
The Texas Physicians Association assures that the members who have participated in the elaboration of this table have scored the risk of the activities assuming that all possible precautions have been taken, such as the use of a mask.
