Since launching at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the luxury MPV from Lexus has been seen roaming the streets of Indonesia.
Interestingly, the Lexus LM350 is so popular with the public that it is claimed that quite a few buyers are buying two units at once.
“Usually like yesterday during GIIAS, there was one family who bought two. They haven’t bought them yet, they just (ordered), right at that time we didn’t sell them yet, but the specifics were different,” said Bansar Maduma, General Manager of Lexus Indonesia, to detikcom.
“His father wanted to use it for office business, while his mother wanted to take her grandson,” continued Bansar.
In fact, the phenomenon of buying two Lexus LM350 units straight away does not only occur in the newest model. Bansar said that in the previous model, the LM350 was often purchased by one person in two types at once.
“It seems like there are a lot of LM customers who previously had two of them. There were 4 and 7-seaters,” said Bansar.
Please note, the Lexus LM350 actually comes in two different types, namely the LM 350h 4-seater and LM 350h 7-seater. As the name suggests, the LM 350h 4-seater comes with a four-seater configuration and the 7-seater is equipped with seven seats.
With different configurations, it’s no wonder the Lexus LM350 fills different segments. The LM 350h 4-seater is often used by executives or business people who want a luxury ‘combat’ car. Meanwhile, the LM 350h 7-seater, with more passenger capacity, is generally chosen as a family car.

Even though the configuration is different, the two types of LM 350h are equipped with the same engine. Lexus believes in the environmentally friendly A25A-FXS engine for this luxury MPV.
The Lexus LM 350h engine is a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder inline engine which is equipped with a hybrid. This machine is combined with hybrid technology, making it environmentally friendly.
For the price, the Lexus LM 350h 4-seater is priced at IDR 2.696 billion and the LM 350h 7-seater is priced at IDR 2.109 billion. This price includes tax, aka the on the road price for the DKI Jakarta area.
