The people of Bonn have to pay a comparatively high price for their waste water. In the 2023 wastewater fee ranking, which the Cologne Institute for Economic Research compiled on behalf of Haus & Grund Germany, Bonn ranked 82nd among the 100 cities examined. According to this, a model family of four has to pay 679.87 euros per year in Bonn. For the comparison, the annual sewage charges in the 100 largest cities in Germany by population were examined. In the last study in 2020, Bonn ranked 77th. At that time, the model family had to pay 32 euros less per year.
